-Reducing the glare in rain, especially at night

-Helping reduce water marks

When Should You Replace Your Wiper Blades?
The industry rule of thumb is to replace your windshield wiper blades every six months, or whenever you notice a reduction in visibility. However, even if you recently changed your wiper blades, harsh weather can often do a number on blades, causing them to prematurely deteriorate.

Inspect your windshield wipers for these signs and catch a problem before it starts.

  1. Check the rubber squeegee edges for tears, cracks, or rounded edges
  2. Ensure the rubber edge in firmly attached to the metal frame
  3. Wiggle the squeegee edge to make sure it’s still flexible
  4. Inspect the metal frame for corrosion or loose joint connections
  5. Don’t forget to check any wiper blade on your back window!

If it’s time to replace your windshield wipers, stop by any of our 48 Jiffy Lube of Indiana stores, no appointment necessary. Our technicians will visually inspect your wipers to confirm they need replaced, remove the old blades, and install high quality windshield wipers.
