Toboggan Run at Pokagon State Park – Angola, IN
Originally opened in 1935, the toboggan run in Angola has nearly 90,000 riders every season. After the thrilling 30-foot drop from the tower, the course continues for a quarter mile with several dips and valleys.
Sleds for the refrigerated track can be rented for $13 per hour and the largest sled can seat up to four people. How fast do you think you can go? The top recorded speed is 42 mph!

Perfect North – Lawrenceburg, IN
Skiing in Indiana? That’s Right! Perfect North has all the equipment (and snow) needed to enjoy a day on the slopes. They have 22 downhill trails and two terrain parks as well as five lifts to take you back to the top. Don’t worry if you’re new to the sport, a first-time ski/snowboard lesson is included with every lift ticket so you can stay safe and have fun!
For those who aren’t coordinated on two feet, try their 1200’ long tubing hill. No experience or agility required, just pick one of their 23 lanes, sit down on a tube, and go! They even have a few super lanes which allow an entire group to go down together. The best part, you ask? Just hop onto the Magic Carpet conveyor for a lift back to the top.

Science Central is the most-visited museum in Fort Wayne—and for good reason! They have more than 200 hands-on exhibits focused on teaching science concepts in a fun and engaging way.
Science Central’s Science On a Sphere installation is the first of its kind in an Indiana museum, and one of only about 100 in existence around the world. It provides the opportunity to see oceans and continents in their actual colors, just as our planet appears from outer space. Is there a snow storm on the way? The sphere also shows all of the Earth’s current storm systems in real-time!

Central Park Plaza Ice Rink – Valparaiso, IN
Cure your cabin fever with some cold-weather fun! Visit this large open-air ice rink in downtown Valparaiso. It’s nicely protected by the elements under the arched roof of the pavilion.
Skip the cosmic bowling and head to this rink on Friday nights for Rock N’ Skate. They have a live DJ with a state of the art sound system and fun changing lights from 7-10pm every Friday night!
