Every Saturday in December you can gather around the open fire and experience this centuries-old tradition of roasting chestnuts.
At Santa’s Candy Castle, just a mile south of Holiday World, you will learn all the history of this old holiday tradition. Watch a roasting demonstration and then try roasting chestnuts yourself. Once they are roasted to perfection, it’s time for a taste-test!
Santa’s Candy Castle is also known for their 33 flavor line-up of hot chocolate and home to the world’s largest cocoa beverage between the whole family.

Hand-Twisted Candy Canes – Martinsville, IN
Martinsville Candy Kitchen has been hand-twisting their famous candy canes for more than a hundred years. Watch the candy canes (and other confectioneries) being made through their large window wall in the store.

Wick’s Pies – Winchester, IN
Sugar cream pie, anyone? Wicks is a pie powerhouse located in Winchester, Indiana. You can find their delicious pies and crusts in the freezer section in several grocery stores but that doesn’t beat sitting down in their full-service bakery cafe for a slice. Das Dutchman Essenhaus – Middlebury, IN
What started as a simple Amish-style restaurant in 1971 has flourished into a northern Indiana mainstay. The Caffeinery is a bustling coffee shop in downtown Muncie, Indiana. A husband/wife coffee roasting team has called the charming downtown building home since 2013.
